Four tents sit on timber decks at the top of the meadow, where the ground opens towards Mount Kenya. On a clear morning you can watch the sun reach Batian from your pillow. Each tent has a proper bed, a wood stove, and a bathroom built in stone behind the canvas, so nights are warm even when there is frost on the grass.
