No. A 30% deposit confirms your booking and the balance is due 14 days before you arrive. If you book less than 14 days ahead, the full amount is paid at booking.

By M-Pesa. Enter your Safaricom number, and a prompt appears on your phone asking for your PIN. You can pay the balance later from your booking page, in one payment or several.

Yes, up to 7 days before you arrive, from your booking page. The new dates are charged at their own prices, and the page shows the difference before you confirm.

Thirty days or more before arrival, we refund everything. From 14 to 29 days, we keep the deposit and refund the rest. Inside 14 days there is no refund. Your booking page shows the exact amount before you confirm.

Use Find my booking at the foot of any page. Enter your booking reference and the email address you booked with, and we send the link to that address again.

The room for everyone in it, breakfast, afternoon tea, firewood, parking and all taxes. Lunch and dinner are included if you choose half board or full board. Drinks and the activities listed under Experiences are extra.

Very. The family cottages and Ukingo House are best for families. Children under 3 stay free, and children aged 3 to 11 pay half price for half board and full board.

Nights are cold all year, often close to freezing in July and August. Every room has a fire or a wood stove and hot-water bottles. Bring a warm jacket, and closed shoes for walking.

There is Safaricom signal across the property, and Wi-Fi in the main house. The cottages and tents are deliberately left without it.

Yes. Tell us when you book, in the box for special requests, and the kitchen will plan for it. Vegetarian meals are always on the menu.

No. The last 4 km are murram, but any car manages it in dry weather. After heavy rain a car with good clearance is more comfortable, and we can meet you in Nanyuki if you prefer.

Check-in is from 2 pm and check-out is by 10.30 am. Please arrive before dark. The gate closes at 9 pm.
